Orientation for New ARH Chaplains
New Chaplains are provided an orientation to ARH Chaplaincy Services by the Director of Chaplaincy Services. The Orientation is scheduled by the Director of Chaplaincy Services. The orientation takes approximately 2 hours.
The orientation introduces the new Chaplain to Chaplaincy Services in the ARH System. A review of those procedures that are general to all ARH Hospital is presented. Suggestions and guidelines for serving as Chaplain-of-the-Week are discussed.
The new chaplain is informed of ARH Chaplaincy Services policies and procedures that will enhance his/her effectiveness as a member of the ARH healthcare team.
A variety of resources is provided during orientation. Each new ARH Chaplain will receive instructions on how to access the online copy of the ARH Chaplaincy Services Manual.
Infection Control will need to perform a TB test before you can begin to make rounds. Please bring a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination card.
Once the orientation has been successfully completed, the chaplain reports to the local hospital to receive his/her ARH Identification badge. The Chaplain is then assigned a week of on-duty service as Chaplain-of-the-Week in the next schedule.
